TO GATHER AGAIN - Plant-based Installation Art

Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild - July 16 through September 3
Please join Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild and The Persephone Project as we present artist Delanie Jenkins.
Delanie Jenkins, Heinz Endowments Creative Heights Residency artist with Manchester Craftsmen's Guild, has maintained a garden in Persephone Project's ArtGardens of Pittsburgh at Frank Curto Park, the product of which is used within an art installation at Manchester Craftmen's Guild. An installation artist, Jenkins draws on her agricultural roots and memories in relation to plant material, scent, and sense of place. A great granddaughter of Texas cotton field sharecroppers, Jenkins now harvests flowers and plant “products” as potential art making material. Her garden at Frank Curto Park has previously been planted with cotton, okra, luffa sponges and honeysuckle among other plant varieties.
